About the Company :
OCL India, (formerly Orissa Cement Ltd) was established in the year 1949 with a wet processing cement plant at Rajgangapur. In 1988, it converted into efficient dry process and markets its cement product under the brand ‘Konark”. The company also diversified into refractories in 1954.
As of Jan 2013, Dalmia Cement has 45% stake in the company. The company is also setting up a 1.5 million tpa grinding unit in Salboni in West Bengal over 200 acres with an investment of Rs. 5000 million.
In February 2015, Dalmia Group has raised its stake in the company to 74% from 45% as a move to consolidate its cement operations.
