Ambuja Cements Ltd is planning to set up a 4.5 million tpa cement unit in Marwar Mundhwa in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. The project also involves a 2.2 million tpa clinker unit and a captive power plant of 2×25 MW and a waste heat recovery plant of 5 MW. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 15000 million.
The company had completed the feasibility study and land acquisition is in progress. The company is in the process of tying up water sources required for construction and operations. Full-fledged construction work is expected to commence in the early part of 2017
