Andhra Cements has two operating cement plants in AP is a part of Kolkatta based G P Goenka Group It had been in financial trouble and accumulated losses of over Rs.2320 million in early part of this decade but some fund infusion attempt from JP Morgan /ICICI Bank in 2006 and others have helped the case.

The company has been taken over by Jaypee Group.
