Abu Industries Ltd has a mini cement plant in operation from 1984 in village Labad in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh with a capacity of 9000 tpa. The company is planning to expand its capacity to 39000 tpa by adding one 100 vertical shaft kiln with an investment of Rs.20 million. The unit will consume limestone (36 mtpa) and coke breeze (4.0 mt), clay (3.0 mt) and gypsum(2.0 mt) per year.
