Fly Ash, one of the low cost substitute used in cement manufacturing used to be purchased from thermal power plants. Now, the state government of Maharashtra is now planning to give away the material for free. The state owned power generation company Mahagenco will now work out to provide the material to industries within 100km of its power plant. The state fly ash utilisation policy aims to use 100 per cent of fly ash generated from thermal and biogas plants in construction activities.
