Talavadi Cement plans greenfield project in Bari

Talavadi Cements Ltd ( a subsidiary of Birla Corp Ltd) is planning to set up an integrated cement plant in Bari & Puraini villages in Raghuraj Tehsil in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up of 2.0 million tpa of clinker unit, 3.0 mtpa of cement unit, 35 MW captive power plant, 8 MW of WHRB unit. The plant has captive limestone source from Proposed Ahirgaon Limestone Mine (M.L Area: 2130.0 15 ha) with Limestone Production Capacity (ROM) of 3.75 MTPA at Villages: Bhumkahar, Ahirgaon, Bachwai, Karhi Kothar, Gaura, Rampur Chourasi, Bhad , Sagma & Majhgawan, Tehsil:Raghuraj Nagar, District: Satna (Madhya Pradesh).

The captive power plant will have Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) boiler using coal/ pet coke as primary fuel, one condensing steam turbine and generator, one air cooled condenser and other necessary auxiliary equipment including balance of plant equipment. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 29550 million.
