Saint Gobain has completed an expansion programme at its Sriperumpudur plant in 2019. It has set up a new energy efficient unit of industry version 4.0 with scope for enhancing operations with Artificial intelligence. It has set up an advanced magnetron coater and glass solutions’ lines to produce 140 million sq ft of high-performance and energy-efficient glass. The company has also set up a large capacity rain water reservoir to conserve water. The total investment for the expansion programme is around ₹ 12,000 million.
