Asian Concretes and Cements Pvt. Ltd. or in short the ACL, is a joint venture company with equity participation from ACC limited, the Indian cement giant, since 2010.The company has now two cement grinding plants with aggregate capacity of 1.3 MTPA. The first plant was set up in 2006 and the second which is the larger one has been commissioned in 2010.Himachal Pradesh is rich in deposits of limestone which are mostly located well within the hilly State away from its borders.The ACL plants are located strategically very near to the border of the state with Punjab and Haryana and comparatively near to UP and Uttarakhand ,which are the consuming States.
The company undertakes job work for manufacturing and grinding cement for ACC exclusively. Currently, ACCPL is the only company that is undertaking ACC’s job work in Himachal Pradesh. ACC owns 45 per cent of ACCPL’s equity shares.
