About the Company :
Adani Group is planning to set up a 5 mmtpa cement plant in Mundra. Some major power projects (Adani’s own 4800 MW & Tata Ultra Mega power project) in the area is expected to generate around 4 mmtpa of fly-ash which can used to set up fly-ash based cement. According to source, the capacity of the plant can be ramped up depends on the availability of fly-ash. The company is talks with GMDC and Ashapura Minechem to procure raw materials. The project is in planning stage.
As of January 2017, the company has revived its plans and has signed an accord during the recent Vibrant Gujarat Summit of 2016.
