Burdwan Super Cement Pvt Ltd is planning to invest Rs. 47.6 million to expand its cement unit in Mouza Sarpi in Ichapur in Burdwan district of West Bengal. The project involves expanding portland slag cement unit from 75 tpd to 325 tpd. Cal (1,755 TPA) will be used for slag drying in coal fired rotary dryer. Clinker (48,731 TPA) from M/s. Ultratech Cement Co., M/s Lafarge India Ltd., M/s. J.P. Rewa, M/s. Prism Cement, M/s India Cements; Slag (53.820) TPA) from Durgapur Steel Plant and Gypsum (2,984 TPA) from M/s Tata Chemicals Ltd., Haldia, will be used as raw materials. Land required of 2.1 acres had been acquired.
