Wienberger plans new facility in Cheyyar

Wienberger, the Austrian based company and a leading manufacturer of claybricks is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Cheyyar near Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The company has acquired 70 acres of land for clay mining and production facility. Wieberger bring high end technology for producing clay bricks which are a cottage industry using lot of manual labour.

Here, operations such as mixing, making a dough of clay, extrusion into hollow bricks, drying and firing are all fully automated. The hollow clay bricks are made with better physical characteristics which has better load bearing abilities which can bring down cost of construction eliminating pillars.
