About the Company :
Incorporated in May 1986, the Mumbai-based Neutral Glass & Allied Industries Private Limited (NG) manufactures Type-1 and Type-3 glass bottles and vials for the pharmaceutical industry. In April 2012 Germany-based Gerresheimer Glas GmBH – part of the Gerresheimer group: a reputed producer of speciality glass and plastic packaging solutions primarily for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries –acquired a 70% stake in NG.
The remaining shareholding continues to be held by the erstwhile promoter group comprising the Shah, Vaziralli and Merchant families. NG commenced commercial production in June 1989 from its manufacturing facility at Kosamba, near Surat in Gujarat. The facility includes four furnaces and has a total annual production capacity of 25,000 MT. Of these, three furnaces are currently operational while the fourth is kept on standby to cater to additional market demands.
